I am 24 years old and I have lived in Grass Valley for the last 22 years. I have lived on 5 acres ever since I was a kid so I have extensive experience in property maintenance and poultry farming. I have a deep appreciation for biodiversity and the natural world and have an A.S. in Natural Sciences. After 3 years of experience in residential construction and limited experience in commercial construction in 2024, I have decided to switch my major from biology to construction management because I have an appreciation for the big picture and I can see myself being a successful project manager someday in the next decade.
Furthermore, I have 7 years of experience as a server/bartender at a local Mexican restaurant so I am conversational in Spanish. This has served me well in my trips to the rain forests of Panama where I volunteered to assist with sustainable bamboo construction. I feel as though construction management and natural sciences are very heavily related to this type of construction and it is likely I will incorporate this into my career, one way or another.
